"Deck the Halls with bows of holly . . . " too early? Thank you for stopping by my blog, Stamping the Cape and welcome to another RemARKably Creative Blog Hop. It's never too early when we have something special to share that I hope will cool you down over this hot (and for me humid!) summer - the new Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas Bundle!
You may just be starting your hop here at my blog - StampingtheCape.com - or you may have come from Rachel Yurkanin's blog. Either way, if you get off track at any time, come back to my blog, StampingtheCape.com, and the full lineup below will help you move along from blog-to-blog so you can see all the projects.
I decided to add a non-traditional color to my first card and went with Blushing Bride for the word PEACE and used the more traditional Emerald Envy for the rest.
I created a stencil of the trees using the dies from the bundle and our Window Sheets. They were sponged with a dauber onto the card front. A pretty "cool" look!
When I saw this set, I knew right away that I wanted to feature the Peace on Earth sentiment. I feel that's what is needed right now with so much unrest at home and abroad. In an effort to try and reflect that we really are all the same, I pulled out the In the City Hostess stamp set and went to work. I colored it using the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.
The Carols of Christmas bundle will be available
to customers on August 1 but if you'd like the

Beautiful stencilled look for the trees.
The second card is so 'out of the box' - love it.

Ginger, these are awesome cards! I LOVE LOVE how the trees look sponged in, and how clever are you with the Peace on Earth card with the cityscape. It looks really great. Thanks for sharing!
