I'm getting ready again for my final craft show of the year and I thought I'd show you this little box I made last year that holds 2-3 Ghiradelli candies (depending upon how generous you want to be ;o} ). I've also resurrected the Jolly Friends Bundle and retired DSP as they went so well with this adorable box I acquired.
Both Santa and his pal were quickly colored using our new Stampin' Blends. The color flows on so easily that it took no time at all. I used the Ivory Blend for the face and the Dark Pink Pirouette for the cheeks, as the light was washed out by the Ivory.
For my elf friend, since his hair was already so dark from the stamped detail, I used my Light Crumb Cake blend just to fill in the spaces.
To make sure I knew what flavor was in which box, I identified the dark chocolate with the Chocolate Chip cardstock box and Santa, and the milk chocolate has the Cherry Cobbler cardstock box with the elf, but if someone wanted to, they could easily slide off the band and switch the characters because the box would still identify the contents.
Here are a couple of boxes using products from the 2017 Holiday Catalog. I thought the box using the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper would be appropriate to give to your church choir members or if you belonged to a singing group and wanted to give a small gift to your fellow songsters.
I decided to make the boxes black because I felt it was an elegant background, particularly for this box that's decorated with the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper. The gold and silver against the Basic Black background make these terrific party favors for New Years or any cocktail party.
I ran Silver Metallic Thread around the belly band of the box and attached the sentiment on top. A little Metallic Enamel heart adds more bling to this shiny gift. I cut down the Foil Snowflake to make it fit to the box. Let me show you how to make your own.
