Happy Labor Day weekend and thanks for stopping by for the Anything but the Holidays blog hop. You may have come from Patty Chenail's blog or you may have stopped here first. In either case, you can continue hopping along by clicking on Tricia Butts' link. If you should get lost, come back to my blog, StampingtheCape.com, to pick up where you left off.
As the last days of summer come to an end, I wanted to share this photo of my son and 20 month old granddaughter enjoying some time at one of our local beaches. Doesn't that water look amazing!
In keeping with the theme of summer and Anything but the Holidays, I've created an invitation to a final party of the season and some fun glass tags to go with it.
The invitation features the Beachy Little Christmas stamp set (144854 Wood/144857 Clear) and the Foil Snowflakes (144748) from the 2017 Holiday Catalog. I stamped some of the smaller images from the stamp set in the background using VersaMark ink. The shack and palm tree were stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink and colored using the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. The die cut is from the Lots of Labels Framelits (138281) and I attached one of the Foil Snowflakes cut in half behind it. They kind of remind me of Tiki pole carvings or something similar. Did you know the Foil Snowflakes are white on the back? They can be used in so many ways, all year long!
How about some cupcake picks for your party? I made these using cardstock, the stamps, and a sheet from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.
I made the tags using Frosted Ruff N' Ready plastic. They'll be fun for the party but would also make great gifts. You could easily mail them to your "snowbird" friends for Christmas gifts. It's also a great project for the kids to make key chains or jewelry. Another great stamp set from the 2017 Holiday Catalog that would work great with this idea is the Half Full stamp set (144996 Wood/144999 Clear), which has a wine theme.
Do you have your 2017 Holiday Catalog yet? I'll be happy to send you one.

Loved all your projects. The Half Full wine tags would be great for our Snowbird friends as they're always lazing about drinking wine!
