September Paper Pumpkin alternate projects; the 3" x 3" enclosure card and the pillow box in the front are the designs from the kit.
The first alternate I'd like to share is one that uses the negative pieces from the lacy gold foil leaves that have adhesive on the back. My thanks to Rachel Tessman from Stamp Your Art out for figuring out this simple way to get even more out of your kits. Here's a quick video on how it's done.
This card uses a Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, and Cajun Craze piece of cardstock cut at 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" and a 1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock. I curved the ends using the Pretty Label Punch. The sentiment is from the August 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit.
Make a pretty bottle tag to bring to your hostess whatever the season.
To create the bottle tag, I cut the long sides of one of the enclosure cards so it measured 2-15/16" x 6" so it will fit inside the largest die from the Lots of Labels Framelits. Don't freak out; 2-15/16" is the narrowest mark on your trimmer before 3" or just a scant smaller than 3".The piece should fit between the cutting lines of the die. Don't run the whole piece through the Big Shot, just the top edge.
Your piece will look like this.
I used my 1-1/2" Circle Punch to punch a hole in the plain side of the tag but check your bottle for the correct size. The Layering Circle Framelits would also work for this. Save the circle to be used in the next card. The large green leaf was created by applying a Wild Wasabi Classic Stampin' Pad directly to the back side of one of the large leaf pieces. I used Always Artichoke Ink to stamp the leaf detail in sections. Just concentrate on the outer leaves and stem. The center will be covered with all the leaf layers. For the tag, I used the smaller leaf stamp and stamped off, which is inking the stamp, stamping onto scrap paper, then stamping onto the cardstock, stamping one in Wild Wasabi, the other in Cajun Craze Ink, to simply add some interest to the sentiment from the kit, which was stamped full strength in Cajun Craze Ink.
My Thanksgiving card uses the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set in the Annual Catalog. This is a great stamp set that covers all the important occasions. The pumpkin is from the September 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit. The card base is a 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Crumb Cake scored at 4-1/4". The background was stamped using VersaMark ink and the large leaf stamp that is in this month's kit. The largest scalloped square from the Layering Squares Framelits was cut in Always Artichoke and the top layer was cut in Chocolate Chip using the largest die from the Stitched Shaped Framelits. I used the circle punched from the bottle tag and stamped the small leaf from this month's kit in Soft Suede Classic Ink. The pumpkin is stamped with Pumpkie Pie and the accent is Cajun Craze. I used a Cajun Craze Stampin' Write Marker to extend the lines higher. The stem top is stamped in Always Artichoke Classic Ink. I used a variety of the leaves, some of which I cut, to embellish the background.
Some may already be suffering from fall allergies but cold season will be fast approaching. I created this little get well pillow box using the stamps from the July 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit. The oval is the second largest from the Stitched Shaped Framelits cut from Soft Suede cardstock. The cup was stamped in Soft Suede Ink as was the tea bag, the sentiment and steam were stamped with Cajun Craze Ink, and the tea bag was colored in with a Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker. If making this little gift, use generic brand tissue as name brand tissue will be too thick to fit into the box along with the tea.
