Once again I'm getting ready for a charity vendor/bingo event this week and I'm making a few little goodies to try and catch the eye of the shoppers. Hopefully there will be lots of them with cabin fever after our third nor'easter!
Thank you to Erica Cerwin of Pink Buckaroo Designs for coming up with the idea of using the Santa from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and coordinating Cookie Builder Punch to make a leprechaun! It was in her Facebook Friday video from a couple of weeks ago. I made the hats a little differently by using a 3/4" wide piece of Old Olive cardstock and curved the top with a circle punch. The matchbooks hold some gold foiled chocolate coins. Do you like that little slot for the flap? That's from the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies. I also used the leprechaun to make some cards. The "pot 'o gold" is a Basic Black 1-3/4" Circle Punch with the top and bottom trimmed and I used our retired Word Window punch to make it look like there was a rim. I punched about a dozen 1/2" Gold Foil circles to create coins and the "glimmer" above the pot is a stamp from the FREE Sale-A-Bration Amazing You stamp set that was heat embossed in gold. Thank goodness for the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and the St. Patrick's Day sentiment!
I also pulled out our retired Basket Bunch Bundle from last year's Occasions catalog. It's so dang cute I couldn't resist and who can resist Ghirardelli Chocolates? I couldn't ignore the dark chocolate, carmel, and sea salt candies!
I've also used up some retired DSP and seam binding. These little packages are a great way to do that. That egg on the right is Gold Foil stamped with Archival Black Ink. I did heat set it but found I still needed to let it sit for a few hours to really make sure it was dry.
If you're in the Falmouth area and looking for some fun, stop by the Holiday Inn on Jones Road. Download the event flyer .
