Thank you for joining me on another US, Canada, and UK blog hop with my fellow talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators. If you have hopped over from Darla's Roberts' blog, Welcome! If you're starting at my blog, just click the "Next" button below to continue on to the next post.
The theme for this hop is Father's Day and June 17 will be here before we know it. For my projects I am featuring the World's Best Trophy stamp set that will be retiring May 31. I think this stamp set has been overlooked. There's lots of opportunity to customize your cards for any man, woman, coach, teacher, cousin, nephew, niece; for a birthday, Father's or Mother's Day, or thank you. It even includes the words "-in law" so you've truly got everyone covered!

This card is super easy to make but packs a big punch. The card base is an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Marina Mist cardstock and the layer is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Dapper Denim.

I attached all the masculine words - father, brother, uncle, grandpa, etc. onto one block and stamped them randomly in Dapper Denim Classic Ink on the Dapper Denim cardstock for my background. For Father's Day, I thought it identified all the different titles one man can hold in a lifetime.
To add a little more interest I ran this piece through the Big Shot using the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Layering Oval Framelit dies complete the center medallion, which was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.
You could easily create a similar card using the feminine words - mother, sister, etc. and change up the colors. Now can you see why I think it's been overlooked?

I had this trophy idea in my head for a while and thought this would be a good time to make it a reality.

The base is made with the Window Box Thinlits die and the cup is made with a technique using the Envelope Punch Board. Again I've used the World's Best Trophy stamp set to embellish the shield. I'm hoping to post a video in the next few days on how I made this because it's easier than it may appear. So come back and see.
